New Year Newsletter
First of all, we’d like to say a huge ‘thank you’ to all Staff, Parents, Pupils, as well as Santa and his helpers for all your help in organising the Christmas Fair and making it such a fun and successful day.
Unfortunately, we do not yet have the final figure, but believe it to be in the region of £2,000. We shall let you know as soon as we find out.
The money will be going towards wooden sculptures, seating and play equipment that are to be made out of the oak that has had to be felled on the school property this year. There will be something for all age groups.
We will also be buying a defibrillator for the school.

Join us!
Help! Some people like carboot sales, some people like quizzes. Joining the PTA doesn’t mean you have to be involved in every event. We would love it if more people (including Dads!) would join the PTA, or, if you would rather not be on the committee, could we put you on a list of people that would be willing to help us in smaller ways? All help, no matter how little, is gratefully received. Why not come to a meeting and see what we do? The next meeting is on Friday 11th January. Please see us at school or fill in the slip below and pop it in the PTA postbox.

Introduction to Moyles Court School PTA
We are a very active association: last year we hosted two carboot sales, two fish and chip quizzes, a Bollywood Night and we ran a NAAFI. This year promises to be just as busy as we plan to have our first Christmas Fair.

All the events that we run are principally designed to provide opportunities for the parents to meet up: to get to know each other, to make new friends and to raise a modest amount of money along the way. We use these funds to assist the school; for example, we bought the pirate ship for the Junior school, more equipment for the languages department and more recently we have paid for the new team shelters in the refurbished netball courts. All donations are carefully considered to ensure that they enhance the quality of life of the children. You will find a small termly subscription to the PTA on your school bill. We use these funds to assist in launching our events, and it is a vital requirement for our many activities.
The PTA is run by a committee of parents. You can always find us at school, or even contact us through the PTA post box just outside the school office.
Please know that you are very welcome to help in any way and to enjoy all the events. You will also find us on our “coffee mornings” which we have two or three times a term. Everyone is welcome – and if you haven’t been before, why not come along and say hello.
If you have any questions, then please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Newsletter - Spring 2012
The Spring Term has been a very busy this year.
In January we held the ‘Bollywood Night’ in the Curry Garden in Ringwood. It proved to be a fun evening with some delicious food and great entertainment (including Henna art –see below). Thank you to all those who came along.
A few weeks ago, we held our Quiz Night. We raised £420. It was a great evening hosted by our brilliant Quiz Master, Steve Moody. It is always a good social evening.
We held two coffee mornings in the ‘The Market Place’ Café. It is an opportunity to sit down and get to know other parents.
The fitness morning is also a chance to get to know others in the school community. Simon Jenkins, a qualified personal trainer, will be returning in the Summer Term for another morning.

School Uniform Updates
Old Uniform
As you know the school uniform is changing slightly next year. We have a contact with connections to an orphanage in Eastern Europe. They would be grateful for any grey shirts, any old summer shirts (teabag shirts!) or even any out grown grey trousers. Please hand them in to the School Office and we can forward them on from there.
Second Hand Uniform
If you have any Moyles Court uniform that is clean, named and still has plenty of life left in it, particularly blazers, jumpers, tracksuits etc please contact Mrs Sheila Moore on: 01202 517507 as she is our uniform shop keeper from now on. She will sell it on for you and the P.T.A. will only keep 10% of the price.....the rest will go back in your pocket.
