Newsletter - Spring 2012

The Spring Term has been a very busy this year.

In January we held the ‘Bollywood Night’ in the Curry Garden in Ringwood.  It proved to be a fun evening with some delicious food and great entertainment  (including Henna art –see below).  Thank you to all those who came along.

A few weeks ago, we held our Quiz Night.  We raised £420.  It was a great evening hosted by our brilliant Quiz Master, Steve Moody.  It is always a good social evening.

We held two coffee mornings in the ‘The Market Place’ Café.  It is an opportunity to sit down and get to know other parents.

The fitness morning is also a chance to get to know others in the school community.  Simon Jenkins, a qualified personal trainer, will be returning in the Summer Term for another morning.

Keep an eye on the black boards for any information regarding the   coffee mornings and the fitness morning.

Dates for your diary:

Carboot sale: Saturday 12th May

Jubilee ‘Street’ party: Sunday 3rd June

School Uniform Updates

Old Uniform

As you know the school uniform is changing slightly next year.  We have a contact with connections to an orphanage in Eastern Europe.   They would be grateful for any grey shirts, any old summer shirts (teabag shirts!) or even any out grown grey trousers.   Please hand them in to the School Office and we can forward them on from there.

Second Hand Uniform

If you have any Moyles Court uniform that is clean, named and still has plenty of life left in it, particularly blazers, jumpers, tracksuits etc please contact Mrs Sheila Moore on:  01202 517507  as she is our uniform shop keeper from now on.  She will sell it on for you and the P.T.A. will only keep 10% of the price.....the rest will go back in your pocket.

Parents, pupils and teachers football fun

A lovely spring evening and fantastic support helped to make this fun footy event a big social success on 6th May. Dads particularly enjoyed reliving their youth, comprehensively beating the teacher team! A special mention is due for Mr Smith who scored an outstanding goal with a solo Maradonna style run, all the way from midfield and into the box. Many thanks for the PTA mums for providing refreshments and Mr Minton for organising the teams.
